The products or services offered to you by service professionals through the Platform are referred to as “Professional Services”.
At GotAtHome, we are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. To provide you with access to our Services or Professional Services, we need to collect and process certain information about you. This Policy explains how we handle and use your personal data.

This Policy applies to individuals who access or use the Services or avail themselves of the Professional Services. For clarity, references to “you” in this Policy refer to an end user of the Platform.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Policy and collected by us in accordance with it.

We do not control or endorse these Third-Party Services and are not responsible for their privacy practices. When you leave the Platform or access third-party links through it, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third-party service providers.
(a) We collect different types of personal data about you. This includes, but is not limited to:
(i) Contact Data, such as your mailing or home address, location, email addresses, and mobile numbers.
(ii) Identity and Profile Data, such as your name, username or similar identifiers, photographs, and gender.
(iii) Marketing and Communications Data, includes details such as your address, email address, information provided in service requests, offers, wants, feedback, comments, pictures, and discussions on our blog and chat boxes, responses to user surveys and polls, your preferences for receiving marketing communications from us and our third parties, and your communication preferences. Additionally, we collect records of your chats and calls when you communicate with service professionals through the Platform.
(iv) Technical Data, includes your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, operating system details, access times, page views, device ID, device type, frequency of visits to our website and use of the Platform, website and mobile application activity, clicks, date and time stamps, location data, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Platform.
(v) Transaction Data, includes details of the Services or Professional Services you have availed, a limited portion of your credit or debit card details used for tracking transactions (as provided to us by payment processors), and UPI IDs for processing payments.
(vi) Usage Data, includes information on how you use the Services and Professional Services, your activity on the Platform, booking history, interactions such as taps and clicks, user interests, time spent on the Platform, navigation details on the mobile application, and page views.
(b) We also collect, use, and share aggregated data, such as statistical or demographic information, for various purposes. While aggregated data is derived from your personal data, it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity and is not considered personal data under the law. However, if we combine or link aggregated data with your personal data in a way that identifies you directly or indirectly, we will treat the combined data as personal data and handle it in accordance with this Policy.
(c) What happens if I refuse to provide my personal data?
If we are required by law or under the terms of a contract (such as the Terms) to collect certain personal data and you do not provide it when requested, we may be unable to fulfill the contract (e.g., provide you with the Services). In such cases, we may need to cancel or restrict your access to the Services.
We use different methods to collect personal data from and about you including through:
(a) Direct Interactions. You provide us your personal data when you interact with us. This includes personal data you provide when you:
(i) create an account or profile with us;
(ii) use our Services or carry out other activities in connection with the Services;
(iii) enter a promotion, user poll, or online surveys;
(iv) request marketing communications to be sent to you; or
(v) report a problem with the Platform and/or our Services, give us feedback or contact us.
(b) Automated technologies or interactions. Whenever you visit the Platform or use the Services, we automatically collect Technical Data about your device, browsing activities, and patterns. This data is gathered using cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, server logs, and other similar technologies. We may also obtain Technical Data from other websites or apps that use our cookies.
(c) Third parties or publicly available sources. We will receive personal data about you from various third parties:
(i) Technical data from analytics providers such as Facebook and advertising networks;
(ii) Identity and profile-related Data and Contact Data from service professionals, publicly available sources, etc.;
(iii) Personal data about you from our affiliate entities.
(a) We will use your personal data only when the law allows us to. Generally, this includes situations where we need to provide you with the Services, facilitate your use of the Professional Services, or comply with legal requirements. Specifically, we use your personal data for the following purposes:
(i) to verify your identity to register you as a user, and create your user account with us on the Platform;
(ii) to provide the Services to you;
(iii) to enable the provision of Professional Services to you;
(iv) to monitor trends and personalise your experience;
(v) to improve the functionality of our Services based on the information and feedback we receive from you;
(vi) to improve customer service to effectively respond to your Service requests and support needs;
(vii) to track transactions and process payments;
(viii) to send periodic notifications to manage our relationship with you, such as informing you about changes to the Services, providing updates on the Services you have used, and sharing company news and updates related to us or the Services.
(ix) to facilitate the Professional Services provided to you, including sending you information and updates about the Professional Services you have utilized.

(xii) to administer and protect our business and the Services , including for troubleshooting, data analysis, system testing, and performing internal operations;

(xvi) to respond to court orders, establish or exercise our legal rights, or defend ourselves against legal claims.
(b) By using our Services and creating an account on the Platform, you consent to us, our service professionals, associated partners, and affiliates contacting you via email, phone, or other means. This communication is intended to provide you with the Services, keep you informed about all features of the Services, and for related purposes.
(c) You agree and acknowledge that any and all information pertaining to you, whether or not you directly provide it to us (via the Services or otherwise), including but not limited to personal correspondence such as emails, instructions from you, etc., may be collected, compiled, and shared by us in order to render the Services to you. This may include but not be limited to service professionals who provide or seek to provide you with Professional Services, vendors, social media companies, third-party service providers, storage providers, data analytics providers, consultants, lawyers, and auditors. We may also share this information with other entities in the GotAtHome group in connection with the above-mentioned purposes.
(d) You agree and acknowledge that we may disclose your data without your consent if required by law, or by any court, government agency, or authority. These disclosures will be made in good faith and based on the belief that they are necessary to enforce this Policy or the Terms, or to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
(a) Cookies are small files transferred to your device’s hard drive by a site or its service provider through your web browser (if you allow it). They enable the site or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
(b) We use cookies to identify you from other users of the Platform, store your preferences for future visits, monitor advertisements, and gather aggregated data on site traffic and interactions. This enables us to enhance your user experience. Additionally, we may employ third-party service providers to help analyze site visitor data. These providers are restricted to using the information solely to support and improve our services.
(c) You may also find cookies or similar technologies on certain pages of the Platform that are set by third parties. We do not have control over these third-party cookies. If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails, or if other users or third parties provide us with information about your activities or content on the Platform, we may collect and maintain this information in a file specifically associated with you.
(a) We may share your personal data with third parties set out below for the purposes set out in Section 4:
(i) Service professionals to enable them to provide you with Professional Services;
(ii) Internal third parties, which are other companies within the GotAtHome.
(iii) External third parties such as:
● trusted third parties, including our affiliate partners and service providers, who help us with various functions. This encompasses managing and hosting our Platform, supporting marketing efforts, handling business operations, processing payments and transactions, delivering content, and providing the Services to you.
● analytics service providers and advertising networks that help us analyze and improve the Platform. These providers may use cookies and similar technologies to perform their services.
● other registered users on our Platform upon your request or where you explicitly consent to such disclosure; and
● regulators and other bodies, as required by law or regulation.
(b) We require all third parties to uphold the security of your personal data and handle it in compliance with the law. Our third-party service providers are only authorized to process your personal data for specified purposes and in line with our instructions; they are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
(a) You warrant that all personal data you provide to us is accurate, current, and truthful. When using our Services, we make every effort to allow you to access and correct any inaccurate or incomplete data, as permitted by law. To request a copy of your personal data, please email us at privacy@gotathome.com. We will respond to such requests within 7 (seven) working days.
(b) Opting-out of Marketing and Promotional Communications:When we send marketing and promotional content via email, we will provide clear instructions on how to opt out of these communications. Please be aware that processing your opt-out request may take up to 10 (ten) business days. During this period, you may still receive emails related to your user account or any Services you have requested or received from us.
(a) Despite what is stated in the Terms, you have the right to delete your account and any personal data stored with GotAtHome by sending an email to privacy@gotathome.com. We may take up to 7 (seven) working days to process your request. Please note that once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all Services. For clarity, we will retain all data related to transactions you performed on the Platform in accordance with applicable law.
(a) We adhere to applicable laws regarding the storage and transfer of personal data. As part of using the Services, your information and personal data may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your country of residence. This could occur if our servers are located in a different country, or if any of our vendors, partners, or service providers are based in another country.
(b) By submitting your information and personal data to us, you agree to the transfer, storage, and processing of such information and personal data in the manner described above.
(a) We implement robust security measures and privacy protections on our Platform, including encryption, password protection, call masking, and physical security measures, to safeguard your personal data from unauthorized access and disclosure. We also adhere to the standards prescribed by applicable laws.
(b) If you have selected a password to access certain parts of the Services or Professional Services, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. We are not liable for any unauthorized use of your information, lost or stolen passwords, or any activity on your account resulting from the disclosure of your password. If your password is compromised, please notify us immediately so we can assist with changing it.
(a) You agree and acknowledge that we will store and retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy. Additionally, we may retain your data for a reasonable period after your account is terminated or you no longer have access to the Services, to comply with our legal obligations and rights.
(b) In certain situations, we may aggregate your personal data in a manner that it can no longer be linked to you. This aggregated data may be used for research or statistical purposes and may be retained indefinitely without further notice to you.
You acknowledge that if we undergo a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another organization, or sale of all or part of our assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of the assets involved in that transition.
We encourage you to post content on our Platform, such as comments, feedback, pictures, or any other information you wish to share. Please be aware that this content will be visible to all visitors and may become public. We cannot control how this information is used or ensure it aligns with this Policy, applicable laws, or your personal privacy, and we disclaim any liability in this regard. Additionally, you agree to adhere to all relevant laws concerning the content you upload or share on our Platform.
